Art Classes for Adults & Children-- Kids art Lessons
Pottery, Drawing and Painting classes in Flowery Branch, GA 30542
With just a few short turns away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta Highway in booming southern Hall county, you have left the hectic world behind and found a place where time slows down, nature abounds, and creativity reigns. Little Artist Studio sits just down the hill from the main house on the Little's farm. From the studio you can hear the babbling sounds of the Mulberry River just a few feet a way, or sit on the deck overhanging the river where pottery and drawing classes are held in nice weather.
The drive down the winding country lane is the perfect creative inspiration for a wonderful artistic experience. At Little Artist Studio, children and adults have the unique opportunity to work alongside artist/designer Cathy Little as she shares techniques in various mediums from acrylic painting and watercolor to pottery, drawing and folk art projects.
For the past several years, while continuing to paint, design and create new art, Cathy has been focusing her talents on teaching both adult classes and classes for various children's age groups. Students can sign up for just one class or attend a series of workshops. She has a special gift for working with children, and her goal for the young artists in her class is not just to teach the technique, but to help them gain confidence. She has been blessed with a wonderful gift in her artistic talent, a passion for sharing her creativity with others, and a beautiful setting in which to nurture others in their own artistic endeavors. So take a drive down the lane and discover Little Artist Studio for yourself!
You can also browse the gallery of art items for you to purchase. If you are looking for a unique gift, come look through my selection of hand painted cards, ornaments, folk art items, sack gifts (great for teachers) and baby items. Call ahead, please. 770-965-9013.

General Class Information September - May:
* Classes are $10 each hour plus the cost of supplies.
* Workshop classes (which are more than one class) the total payment is due at the first class.
* Classes are open for ages 6 and up.
* If there is a class your under 6 child would like to participate in please call to see if there is space available and if they would be able to do the project. You may need to attend with them. Classes may be attended by under 6 years but accompanied by an adult.
* I have aprons for you to use but every one seems to get paint on their sleeves - wear something you can mess up. We use water base paints for easy cleanup but this paint becomes permanent after drying. This is not poster or temper paints. Artists use acrylic paints for lasting artwork.
* Classes may last 1-2 & 1/2 hrs( except for drawing 1 hr.)
* Class size is limited to 6 persons. I will cancel class if there is not enough interest.
* You must pre-register for a class. ( A phone call is your commitment to reserve your space so I can make sure to purchase your materials.)
* Private lessons are available at $40 per hour
* Miss your class that you said you would be attending (oops! ) You still owe for the class. I prepared for you! This is a business (not a volunteer club) just like all other after school activities which require an ongoing commitment.
Hope this answers your questions. Look around the site there is a lot of information here.
Mission Statement: We will focus on life and teaching. We will be an example to others in behavior, love, faith, kindness and encouragement. We will consider ways to encourage each other and to show love. We will use the gifts God has given us to serve others.
We will come together and create- just wait and see how good it can be.
We can all be artistic people and tap into our creative side. It's OK to be silly and have a good time.
